"Q is for Quirky" is actively looking to support ROCK CHARITY wherever possible, and encourages a small change donation for carrier bags to help towards this endeavour. We are hoping to open a charity boutique to create a more significant income stream for these amazing orphans, but in the meantime, any small or generous donations are gratefully and happily received.

There are ZERO administrations costs taken from donations - 100% of all donations goes directly to the orphanage.

“Rock” is the charity that was set up when crisis hit India as a result of the Thailand Tsunami in 2004. In particular, a little Orphanage in Machilipatnam, A.P. India, grew from around 30 orphans to 150..... overnight! In desperate need of funds and support, its founder Emmanuel Pedapudi, left his wife and the overcrowded orphanage to come to the UK in search of help. Thankfully he found the help he needed when he eventually came across and approached Pastors Roy and Brenda Taylor with his stories and photographs of the children now within his care. His dedication, courage and commitment were testament to his genuine heart, and shortly after a heart-wrenching trip to the orphanage, the Charitable Trust was set up by Pastors Roy & Brenda.

10 years on, the orphanage has undergone complete transformation and the children and the orphanage have surpassed all expectation. It is now a School; not just for its residents, but a Community School, serving the whole area. It has been a tremendous success with its high standards of education and its caring approach, and this has made the school very popular. Growth and development was inevitable. As such, the building and the schools framework have grown, but outgrown the current demand.

Here, there are now plans to further develop the existing orphanage and school and for this, the charity has managed to raise enough funds to allow purchase of adjacent land. There are now funds needed to build n this land and provide the children and the up-coming local generation with proper facilities, education and care. The proposed plans for this build also include missionary quarters for those wishing to come from the UK to help and work with the orphans first-hand.

An amazing project with on-going funds needed to support the children and staff and help their dream of proper beds and a roof become a reality!
